Upcycled Sofiona Designs Outfit

This month I teamed up with Sofiona Designs and sewed up an outfit for my youngest daughter. Just because I felt like a good challenge, I made it a completely upcycled outfit!

A dress I bought for myself without trying it on turned out to be a romper that gave me a terrible wedgie, so I turned it into a kimono by creating a Raspberry cover-up with the waist ties omitted. A pair of corduroy pants with a rust stain on the leg from the hanger made a cute mini Balsam bag (printed at 50%) with a drawstring top hack. A womenโ€™s thermal turtleneck made a cozy Aurora raglan with lengthened sleeves to omit the cuffs. Two old army jackets created a very nice Bedrock skirt. I added some embroidery to pull all of the pieces together.

I am really happy with how this outfit came together! The upcycling caused some limitations but overall it worked out well.
